Historic B&O Railroad Station in Grafton WV #1388

The historic B&O Railroad Station and Willard Hotel in Grafton, W.Va., are seen through a window of a neighboring business on August 4, 2020. The buildings were constructed during the railroad boom in 1911-12.

Grafton "was chartered in 1858 and named in honor of John Grafton, a civil engineer who helped design the route of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad (B&O) through northern West Virginia. Grafton is situated on the main line of the B&O on the Tygart Valley River," according to the West Virginia Explorer.
