Casselman River Bridge basks in February sunshine
Constructed in 1813 along the National Road in Grantsville, Md., to ease the westward movement of frontier settlers heading from Cumberland, Md., to the Ohio River in Wheeling, W.Va., the Casselman Bridge was the largest stone arch in America at the time. It was continuously used from 1813 to 1933. The 80-ft. stone arch bridge is now part of Casselman River State Park.
