Their wedding was my last before the devastating COVID-19 pandemic took its lethal toll on our nation and the world. Jacob had heard about me through a West Virginia University buddy and recent fellow graduate who had come to know me when I worked as a photo advisor for The Daily Athenaeum, WVU's official student newspaper. The Zaffuto's big day at Five Pines Barn lived up to the rural Pittsburgh-area wedding venue's "best kept secret" tag. Wearing the hat as a wedding photographer located in Morgantown, W.Va., I am privileged to be able to capture everlasting memories for my clients. Here, Keleigh and Joey celebrate their wedding and reception in Morgantown over two days. My years working as a U.S. Navy photographer and then as a photojournalist led to my decision to start photographing weddings in 2000. Thus, I consider myself to be a wedding photojournalist. Combine that with the many environmental portraits that I've created, and it all equals a well-rounded and experienced photographer.

Megan Nicole Garofola and Robert Michael McDonald celebrated their wedding day in Crabtree, Pa., on June 11, 2022. The happy couple were married at Saint Bartholomew Church, and held their reception at the classy Rizzo's Malabar Inn. Working as a wedding photojournalist and portrait photographer, I aimed to capture as many decisive moments as possible. I totally agree with Henri Cartier-Bresson, who coined the phrase decisive moment, that: “Photography is ... a spontaneous impulse coming from an ever-attentive eye which captures the moment and its eternity."
